U.S. Congressman. He was attending the University of Wisconsin and with the advent of World War I, he served as a Yeoman First Class, in the U.S. Navy, (1917-19). After the war, he engaged in the insurance business, was a delegate to the Republican State convention in 1933 and was a member of the Board of Supervisors of Dodge County, Wisconsin, (1935-39). In 1939, he was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-sixth Congress, serving until 1941. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he engaged in research on public relations work and was vice president of General Grinding Wheel Corporation, Pennsylvania, until his death.
