She was born in Old Glory, Texas; sister to Lorene Emma Dodd and Travis Roy Tredemeyer; 4th child born to Alvin and Clara. by the 1940's she was living in New Mexico and then in 1941 or so, the valley for a short time before she married in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dec 1, 1950, Ralph E. Brewer, and embarked upon the life of a Navy wife. She traveled quite a bit during her marriage, stationed in various places, San Diego, California, Oak Harbor, Washington, Corpus Christi, Texas, oakland California.
She returned to the Rio Grande Valley in 1970 but left again to move to Galveston and then to Houston, Texas.
