Henry Wingfield Figgis.

Henry Wingfield Figgis, son of Edmond Johnstone Figgis and Frances Anne Figgis, of 30, Harold's Cross, was born on 11th May 1848, and was baptised on 19th July 1848, at St. Peter's Church, Aungier Street, Dublin.

Marriage 1.
Henry Wingfied Figgis, a Merchant, of 2, Palmerston Park, Dublin, son of Edmund Johnstone Figgis, a Merchant, married Emily Harris, of 28 Leinster Road, Dublin, daughter of Robert Russell Harris, a Colonel in the Army, at St. Peter's Church, Aungier Street, Dublin on 4th April 1871.

Henry Wingfield Figgis, a widower, a Merchant, from "The Chalet", Temple Road, Rathmines, son of Edmond J. Figgis, a Merchant, married Lucy Jane Allen, a spinster, from 3 Mount Norris Villas, Bray, daughter of Anthony P. Allen (deceased), a Captain Royal Navy, on 6 June 1894, at Dublin City Registry Office.

in the 1901 census, the Figgis family was living at Temple Road, Dartry, Dublin. The house was said to have 14 rooms.

They had been married 17 years and had 2 children, both of whom were alive.

Mary Emily Figgis, aged 35, a visitor, born in Co. Dublin was also present.

2 housemaids and a Cook also lived with them.

Henry and his first wife Emily, and their children are buried in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Dublin.
His second wife Lucy, and their son Roberts Richmond Figgis, and daughter Philippa Maria Figgis, are buried in Redford "The Grove" Cemetery, Greystones, Co. Wicklow.

FIGGIS - July 5th 1916, at The Chalet, Temple Road, Rathmines, Henry Wingfield, eldest son of the late Edmund Johnstone Figgis, aged 68 years. Funeral private. No flowers by request.

His daughter, Violet Mabel Figgis b. 1881
married Charles Sydney Ryles in Calcutta, India, on 4 March 1906,
She subsequently married,
Major Henry Ball Holmes
in Totnes district, Devon, in Q4, 1914.
He died in November 1915, in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, from wounds received during the Second Battle of Ypres.
