Mellene Newton, age 55, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Augusta Puckett Hatfield. Mellene was married to Glenn Newton and was the mother of one son, Greg (Crystal) Newton. She is survived by her husband, her son, one sister, Marilyn Burden, and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carroll Hatfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Denver Decker officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Big Clifty. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the funeral home continuing from 8 a.m. until time of service.
