UPDATE: New info provided by Joan. Thanks! 07/22/12
child of:
Charles F. Blauvelt and Rowena Wotherspoon both of NYC.
I do not know why Victor was in Texas. Is he a member of your ancestral tree? His father Charles was a fairly well known artist who traveled extensively for his work. His mother came from a family of artists and military people. Rowena parents were James Wotherspoon and Jean/Jane Marshall both from Lanark, Scotland. Rowena grew up a privileged child and educated in the US as well as over seas. She was probably drawn to Charles' ability to paint as all the Wotherspoon children were apparently educated in the arts.
Info given by Tina Delong
Originally buried in the old city cemetery, then reburied in 1920 to Fairmount Cemetery.
