Survivors include daughter Cheryl Cullison of Bloomfield, IN; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. & Brenda Anderson of Jasonville, IN and Mark & Ellen Anderson of Bloomfield, IN; grandchildren, Shannon & Ruth Anderson; Leslie & Joe Summerville, Chad & Monica Cullison, Zachary Zoellner, Alisha Zoellner, Theresa & Ed Boyd, Scott & Rebecca Kirkpatrick; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jean VanMeertin, Betty Ginter, Frances Bennett, and brother, Clyde Anderson.
James proudly served as an Army veteran in the Korean War. He retired from Shakamak State Park after 20 years of service in Park Maintenance. James was a wonderful father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing on the river at the cabin, and mushroom hunting.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Indiana with visitation scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Heard officiating.
Military Graveside Rites will be conducted.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
