Devin Michael Hampton
Devin Michael Hampton of Benton was granted his angel wings on December 29, 2009 at 8:30 PM. Devin was sent by God on February 8, 2008 to be a guardian angel for his parents, Derrell D. Brignac & Tanisha S. Hampton. He was also the god son of Fredrica & Tameka Hampton. When Devin was only 9 and a half months old he began experiencing Congestive Heart Failure. At 11 months old he was blessed by God and received a heart transplant and began to share his testimony, "God is still working miracles". In November 2009, Devin briefly went to visit the little angels in Heaven and to let them know to make room for him, because his work here on earth was just about done. During his 22 months here on earth, Devin allowed God to use him to strengthen his parents and family day by day and month by month and after he shared Christmas day with his family from far and near and then four days later he answered the Master's call for the second time. The Lord asks, "Devin are you ready" and he smiled and answered "Yea". As he did for everything and everyone his answer was always "yea", no matter what. He leaves to mourn his fond memories, his parents; two brothers, Derrell D. Brignac Jr & Devon D. Hampton and a sister, Aniyah Monique Hampton; his loving grand and great grandparents, Anita L. Hampton, Tywanna C. Baker, Russell Brown, Kerry Lynn Brignac, Joe Brannon Sr., Mildred Hampton, Dottie Mae and Gloria Gray; seven great aunts, four uncles; ten great uncles; his loving God parents, Fredrica & Tameka Hampton, his uncle papa Gabriel and aunt ma ma JoJeanna Allen; one great great uncle and aunt Richard & Gwendolyn Hampton and a host of cousins, friends and his personal caregiver, Richard Hampton. He was preceded in death by one brother, De'Maco Thaji Brignac; his great great grandmother, Lucinda Hampton; one great aunt, Lillie Mae Machyeon and two older cousins, Alfreda Smith & Samantha Machyeon.
