He was born in Munger, Minn., May 12, 1922, to Edward and Ethel Haberman. Wallace was a 1940 graduate of Proctor High School.
He had worked at the Shipyards, the Coolerator Plant, was a heavy equipment operator and later retired in 1984 from the Proctor School, where he had been a custodian and bus driver for 27 years.
He was a member of Union Locals 49 and 66 and former member of The Senior Coalition and the NRA.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Elaine; second wife Leanore; and daughter Mary Ann Leach.
He is survived by his sons Kevin (Alice) of Duluth and James (Jan) Schneeberger of Buffalo, Minn.; sister Shirley (Ward) Olander of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brothers Floyd and Glen (Eileen), both of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
VISITATION: 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, April 12, in Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home. Burial at Oneota Cemetery.
