She was born on January 22, 1920, in Tiffin, Ohio, to George and Ida Mae (Michaels) Hunker. On September 27, 1941, in Wyandotte, MI, she married Richard H. Chadwick, Sr. and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Robert) Keller of Berea; 3 grandchildren, Andrew and Richard Keller and Ashley Agerter; and 4 great grandchildren, Jacob, Alex, Elise and Emmett.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard H. Chadwick, Jr. in 2013; 5 brothers, Glen Mathias Hunker, Owen "Dave" Harold Hunker, Raymond "Buzz" Ernest Hunker, John William Hunker and George M. "Jim" Hunker, II; 7 sisters, Bessie Lucille Hickman, Helen Louise Shuman, Dorothy "Dody" Regina Brunner, Madeline "Tootz" Belle Coehich, Marjorie "Pete" Almina Lee, Pauline Rose Hitson and Ruth Eleanor Clark.
Aleta worked at General Electric for many years and moved to Berea in 2003 to be close to her family. While living in Tiffin, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was most recently a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Berea. She was a also a member of Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary, Tiffin, General Electric senior citizens and a perpetual member of St. Francis. Aleta enjoyed reading, watching the Cleveland Indians and playing cards in many card clubs.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-10:30 A.M. on Saturday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
