Reva Hazel McDaniel went home with her Lord and Savior on April 7th, 2011. She was born November 2, 1920, to Aaron and Lena Renaud in rural Sully. She moved to Des Moines in 1939. Reva married Kenneth V. McDaniel on November 21, 1945. They made their home on the east side of Des Moines.
Reva had several jobs and retired from the State of Iowa Vocational Rehab in 1983.
Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Joyce McDaniel of Des Moines, daughter, E. Jane McDaniel of Des Moines, and daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Bert Packer III of Wyoming, Michigan; grandchildren, James (Jamie) McDaniel of Mitchellville, Jeremy McDaniel of Iowa City, Jennifer McDaniel of Storm Lake, Bert Packer IV, Melody Packer-Smit, Clarissa Packer, and Paula Packer all of Michigan; great-grandchildren, Gage and Kayden McDaniel, Kyle, Brandon, Jacob and Katrina Smit; brother, Howard Renaud of Pella; sister-in-law, Ruth Renaud of Pella, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, on Monday, April 11, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m, Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the funeral home.
