He resided at 278 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the in production of industrial chemicals and also as Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" in the battle of Myitkyiha, Northern Burma during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was first interred overseas and later re-interred here on December 18, 1948.
