Mrs Cora White Dies in Little Rock Hospital
Mrs Cora Stroud White, age 72, of near Wideman, died in a Little Rock hospital, Thursday morning, after only a few days illness. She was taken to the hospital after she suffered a fracture of the right hip joint, in a fall at her home, Tuesday of last week. She was rallying from the effects of the injury, but other complications developed, resulting in her death. Mrs White was born and reared near Wideman, and was a life-long resident of that community. She was married to John White, whose death occurred four years ago. Mrs White was a devout Christian, having united with the Church of Christ early in life. She was loved and respected by a large circle of friends.
Surviving, are six sons,
Charles and Troy White of Calico Rock,
Jack, Tommie and Dale White of Wenatchee, Wash., and
Darcy White of the home;
two daughters, Mrs Jessie Fleming of Wenatchee, Washington, and Mrs Georgia Wingate of Oklahoma City, Oklama;
one brother, George Stroud of Granite, Oklahoma;
one sister, Mrs Chas. T. Hudson of Cape Fair, Missouri;
several grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of Christ in Oxford, Saturday afternoon, July 9, with Elder Wm. See of Calico Rock officiating. Burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery under direction of the Roller Funeral Service.
