The funeral for Kelly Ann Adams, 26, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home with Dennis Ivy and Clarence M. Johnson officiating.
Ms. Adams died Monday, February 15, 2010 in Athens. She was born February 24, 1983 in Limestone County, AL. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tanner Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Adams; grandfather, Gilbert Adams; and aunt, Vickie Skipworth.
Survivors include her mother, Robbie Adams Wallace of Athens; stepfather, Jimmy Wallace of Rogersville; daughter, Desiree Lopez Adams of Athens; sons, Luis Malaichi Lopez Adams of Athens and Julius Tyrone Redus of Tanner; grandparents, James and Brenda Oliver, and Dee Adams, all of Athens; great-grandmother, Katie Oliver of Huntsville; brother, Brent Wayne Adams of Athens; stepsisters, Stephanie Wallace and Tonya Wallace, both of Rogersville; several aunts, uncles and cousins, niece, Destiny Lashay Adams of Athens; and fathers of her children, Luis Lopez and Julius Lee Redus, both of Athens.
Kelly was a victim of a fatal car wreck that occurred Monday morning on an ice-slicked road. She was killed instantly when the car in which she was a passenger skidded into the path of an oncoming pickup truck on U.S. 72 in Limestone County.
