Mr. Martin Roscoe Michael, 91, of Charlottesville, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 9, at a nursing home in Charlottesville.

He was the husband of Mary Michael of Charlottesville.

Born Jan. 16, 1907, in Albemarle County, Va., he was a son of the late Martin Grant and Bertha Trumbo Michael.

Mr. Michael was an employee of Frank IX textile plant, Charlottesville, for 49 years.

He was a member of Cherry Avenue Christian Church, Charlottesville.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Raymond Michael of Walkersville; two grandchildren, Marty Michael of Newark, Del., and Terri Alexander and husband Randy of Frederick; and one nephew, Tom Whitten and wife Joanne of Stanardsville, Va.

The family received friends Sunday, Jan. 10, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, 201 First St. North, Charlottesville.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, in Holly Memorial Gardens, Albemarle County, with the Rev. Lewis Vest officiating.
