Beth was a Latin teacher in Stow. She was also funny, full of life, and the kind of person that left and impression on your heart.

Elizabeth Ann McCaffrey, 48, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on March 19, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center of Visiting Nurse Service following a brave battle against cancer (pheocromacytoma).

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas, and devoted son, Andrew. She is also survived by brother, Mark Brightman; sisters, Catherine Brightman, Christine (Steve) Villanova (all of Cuyahoga Falls), Jane (Homer) Cross of Deersville, Ohio, and Paula (Bill) Folk of Dayton. Other survivors include many loving nieces and nephews.

Beth was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Akron, where she served as principal of the P.S.R. program. She also taught Latin for twenty-three years at Stow High School, and more recently at Woodridge High School.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Stow Chapel (Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse (3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333) or to St. Mary's Church (750 S. Main St., Akron 44311).
