Bath, Sept. 19 - George H. Gantz an inmate of the Soldiers' Home, was brought in dead Monday night. Gantz had been outside all day on a pass and was found lying dead on a horse block in front of Quartermaster O'Connor's house just opposite the home grounds.

Coroner Horton of Hammondsport arrived at the home and stated that the man had evidently died from heart disease. Gantz formerly lived in Brooklyn.

It is thought he started for the home and fell dead by the wayside. There was no evidence of foul play. He served in the Eighth New York State Milita. Gantz was seventy-tree years of age.

At the home hospital it was learned that the doctors had been treating him for heart disease since he entered the home about a year ago.
