Services are pending with West Funeral Home for Ike Oliver, 86, who died in Albuquerque Thursday.
He moved to Carlsbad in 1940 and worked at Potash Company of America as an undercutter operator until his retirement in 1955. He lived here until a year ago, when he moved to Albuquerque. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.
He was born in Madisonville, Ky., and worked in a coal mile in that state at an early age. In 1934 he moved to Bibee, Ariz., where he worked in copper mines.
Survivors include two sons, Barth, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Jerome, Bisbee, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs. A.P. Mitchell, Carlsbad, and Mrs. Vera Lee, Albuquerque; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
