Mrs. Catherine I. Luckett, 65, of 280 Norway St., Gladwin, died Sunday, Jan. 20, in the Midland Hospital Center following a long illness. Born in Frenchtown, Ohio, on October 29, 1914, she came to Gladwin County five years ago from Detroit. The former Catherine York, she was married to John Luckett on July 30, 1932, in Detroit.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, James and John of Westland; 3 daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Joan) Beralotti of St. Clair Shores, Mrs. Gordon (Patricia) Ormerod of Longwood, Fla. and Mrs. Richard (Linda) White of Leesville, La.; one brother, Cletus York of Gladwin; 2 sisters, Mrs. Estelle Leist and Mrs. Ethel Campbell of Dayton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services were held today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Father Joseph Castanier officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 1-23/1980 Column – 3 Page – 2.
