Jessica Lynn Caldwell, 17, a resident of Pennville died Tuesday, July 4, following a car accident north or Portland. Jessica had just completed her sophomore year at Jay County High School, and was employed at Millers Merry Manor in Dunkirk.

Ms. Caldwell was born on June 25, 1989 in Bluffton, the daughter of Jeff and Gwen (Ryder) Caldwell.

She is survived by her parents, Gwen of Pennville, and Jeff of Redkey, along with her brother Eric Caldwell of Pennville. She is also survived by her grandparents, Greg and Patricia Cook of Portland, and Robert and Dolores Denney of Redkey, and her great-grandmother Jessie Hodge of Portland, along with a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Wells County.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home. Services are at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
