Emily's parentage is unknown. She was born about 1807 in Virginia, and married John S. Weatherford in Granville Co., North Carolina on 25 December 1828, and according to son William Henry's short biography they were the parents of 5 children, of which W.H. was #2 in the birth order. The family left for Tennessee sometime around the mid-1850's, and either followed son William Henry to Illinois in 1856 or at a separate time.
Her burial location is unknown, but she may also be buried in Illinois if she did not pass away before the rest of the family relocated there.
