Velma I. Green, 81, of Chandler, AZ, our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, "grammer" & "gramma", passed away quietly Sat. Dec. 11, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born April 16, 1923 in Anderson, Indiana. The Green family moved to Arizona from Kalamazoo, MI in 1957, and Velma has made her home in Chandler for the past 30 years. Velma is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Max Earl Green. She is survived by her son, Jerry Green (Karen) of Chandler, daughters Barbara Hilland (Mike) of Gilbert, AZ., Denise Kumpe (Cecil) of Queen Creek, and Debbie Holly (Mark) of Mesa. She has 6 grandchildren, Amy Green, Andrew Green, John Hilland, Richard Hilland, Lauren Holly and Madeline Kumpe, also 6 great grandchildren, Weston Hilland, Easton Hilland, Ian Hilland, Sophie Hilland, Sadie Hilland, and Benjamin Hilland. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ. Services will be held Wed. Dec. 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mausoleum Chapel, 10940 E. Chandler Hgts. Rd., Chandler. A Visitation will be held Tues. Evening from 6-8 PM at the Mortuary.
