Van Buren Able, 616 Acacia Road, Santa Paula, died Yesterday at home after a long illness. Mr. Abel was born in Hickory County Missouri, June 17th 1884. He had been a Poultry rancher for 35 yrs in the Santa Paula area. Survivors are his wife Ethel L Able Santa Paula, Daughter Mrs Minnie Stangland, Lompoc, Son Loren Lester Abel, Brothers Albert Phoenix Arizona and Branson Abel Oakland, Sisters Mrs Laura Ink of St Petersburg Florida, Mrs Verca Barnett of Port Hueneme, Mrs Vice Jones of Ventura, 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services Will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. in the Santa Paula chapel Of H B Skillin Mortuary The Rev. Vernon H Barkley will officiate. Internet will follow in Santa Paula Cemetery.
