Mrs. Jessica Marie Sears, 89, formerly of Springfield, died Monday at the Presbyterian Home in Evanston. She was born in St. Claire, the daughter of Sylvester L. and Rady G. Deal Austin. Her husband, Dr. Harvey W. Sears, preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Sears was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Sears of Bay City, Mich., and Mrs. Don (Mildred) Funk of Evanston; one brother, Coleman Austin of Minnesota; one sister, Ruth Swanson of Niles, Mich.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Hatfield officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
