Mr. Ganaway died Friday, Oct. 4, 1996, at home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Roanoke, Mo., the son of Jesse and Gertrude Gooch Ganaway. He married Irma Jackson in 1975 in Galesburg.
He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal.
He was a member of American Legion Post 0482.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, Krist Adams, and sisters, Ruth Martina, Gertrude Flenoi and Louise Johnson, all of Rock Island.
