Salvatore (Sam) R. Granata
STOW- Salvatore (Sam) R. Granata, 61, died Wednesday morning of heart failure, April 30, 1986.
Mr. Granata was born in Akron, was a lifelong area resident, who served in World War II with the U.S. Airforce. For the past 24 years he was employed by W.G. Diehl Distributing Co. (formerly Kohn Beverage), where he was currently Sales Manager. Mr. Granata was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; daughters, Mary Katherine Granata Wolford, Angela Rose Granata; son Rosario (Ross) Granata, all at home; sister, Mother Amata Rose , Monastery of Poor Clares, Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Dominick of Silver Lake, and Joseph of Cuyahoga Falls; mother-in-law, Mrs. Katharine Gazich at home; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Calling hours 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday at the Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. Akron. Mass of Christian Burail 10 a.m., Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stow. Entoumbment Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Monastery of Poor Clares, 3501 Rockyriver Dr., Cleveland Ohio, 44111.
