He made his debut in the England theatre in the 1950s, performing with various companies and received a Dora Mayor Moore Award for his performance in "A Moon for the Misbegotten". Primarily a stage actor, he did appear in the films "John and the Missus" (1987), "The Midday Sun" (1989) and "Beautiful Dreamers" (1990). His television credits included "Kung Fu: the Legend Continues", "Airwaves", Street Legal" and the TV movie "Day One" (1989). He died of cancer in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, at age 69.
