He was born June 17, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth Richard and Ida Mildred Grant. He first joined the Merchant Marines and later served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. Services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church, Hutchinson, KS on Monday, August 31st, 2 p.m. Richard, a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, was known for his work in Boy Scouts and his willingness to help others in need. He enjoyed working in his garage, fishing, camping and playing with his grandchildren.
