Services are pending for Elizabeth "Bessie" Lambert, 85, of Loving, at West Funeral Home. She died Tuesday at her residence.
A member of the Loving Baptist Church, she was born in Comanche County, Texas and raised in the Brownfield, Texas area. She taught school in Texas and also in Loving when she became a resident in 1946.
Survivors include a son, Darrell J., Los Animas, Colo.; two brothers, A.K. Huckelberry, Redding, Calif. and Claude Huckelberry, Burlington, Texas; a sister, Zelm Smith, Seway, Texas; and grandchildren, Linda Kirkes, Loving, Karen Maki, Seattle, Wash., Steven Lambert, California and Kathy Cardenac, California; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Elizabeth "Bessie" Lambert, 85, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in West Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Thompson of Roswell and the Rev. Gerold Harlen of Loving officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be W.A. McGinnis, Joe Baker, Johnnie Geovengo Sr., Troy Caviness, Ed Scott and Sam Smith.
