Obit. 19 Jan 1973 The Grand Valley News, CO. "... united in marriage with Frederick R. Nicholls on June 30, 1906 at Glenwood Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholls lived in Mesa and Garfield counties nearly the rest of their lives. Mr. Nicholls passed away in December of 1952. Mrs. Nicholls has made her home in Rifle since 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Fred and Melvin; three brothers, Lester, Walter and Ira Sparks and two sisters in infancy. Survivors include three sons... a daughter... a brother, Nathan Sparks... and a sister, Mrs. Mary Nelson... "
