Arthur Allen, 92, widower of Malvie Wilson Allen, passed away April 3, 2011 at Brown Co. Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born September 8, 1918 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Louis and Martha Jane Burns Allen.
He attended Nicholsville Pentecostal Church of God and Hamersville Pentecostal Church of God, was a WWII Army Veteran, and retired from the Bethel-Tate School District.
He is survived by children, Brent Allen of Carlisle, Ohio, Jerry Allen and Martha Cranfill both of Bethel, Ohio and Linda Owens of Felicity, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and brother, Ledford Allen of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Keen Allen, Bert Allen, Archie Allen, and Lucy Mae Frazier.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Hamersville Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Carl Warf officiating. Burial will be in Tate Township Cemetery with pallbearers being his grandsons. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service Thursday.
