MARY DRAIN ALBRO-Funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Little Chapel of the Chimes, for Mary Drain Albro, 5600 NE Garfield St., who died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Albro was born May 5, 1874, at Drain. She and her husband, the late Frank Oliver Albro, were Coos Bay residents for more than 40 years. Mrs. Albro was a registered nurse in Coos Bay and Portland for 40 years.
She was the author of several books on pioneer history, including "Indiana Tribes" and botany books.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Leta McWhinney, and a brother, Otto D. Drain, both of Portland.
Private committal will be at Rose City Cemetery.
