Fran was a native of Dover, Arkansas and had lived in Mobile County, Al. for the last 29 years. She married David A. Gilchrist on Dec. 5th, 1969.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, David A. Gilchrist Sr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Hans Owens and Linette and John Baxter; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Claudette Gilchrist, Jr; her parents, Bernice Freeman and Paul Seward of Russellville, Arkansas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Billy Armstrong of Checotah, Okla., and Mary Lou and Johnny Collins of Dover; two brothers, Jerry and Carolyn Seward of Russellville ; and Nolan Freeman of Pelsor; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Friday Sept. 20th, 2002 in Serenity Memorial Gardens by Serenity Funeral Home of Mobile, Ala.
