Mr. Grant, a veteran of U.S. Navy service during World War I, boxed professionally in Lima and the area 30 years ago as "Sailor" Grant. Born Jan. 15, 1902 in Celina, he had spent most of his life in Lima.
He was a member of the South Side Church of Christ.
Surviving are the widow, Gertrude; two brothers, Orval, 811 S. Metcalf St., and Dee, 1003 E. Wayne St., and two sisters, Mrs. Delores Mitchell, 780 S. Main St., and Mrs. William Painter, 319 N. Shawnee Ave.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Siferd & Son, Colonial Chapel, the Rev. E. J. Penhorwood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
