After Long Illness; Services Are Friday
Gina Susanna Ellingson Wheeler, 49, passed away at her home here Tuesday at 3 a.m. following several months' illness. Mrs. Wheeler had undergone an operation in Great Falls March 7 for a cerebral tumor.
Funeral services will be conducted from the big Timber Lutheran church tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 2:30. Rev. E. E. Tollefson officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View.
Mrs. Weeler was born January 10, 1903, at Melville, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Ellingson. She graduated from the public school and high school in Big Timber and also attended the normal school in Dillon. She taught for some time in the county and later attended Riverside Business college in Riverside, Calif, where she met Homer Wheeler. They were married March 7, 1924.
A member of the Big Timber Lutheran church, she taught Sunday school for a number of years and was a director of the Luther League. She was a past chief of the Pythian Sisters and a member of Sweet Grass chapter O.E.S. in which she had advanced to the office of associate matron. She had resigned because of ill health.
She is survived by her husband, Homer O. Wheeler, and three children, Edwin Wheeler of Los Angeles Calif., Mrs. Mal Goosey Jr. of Big Timber, and Gaylor Wheeler of Big Timber; a sister Major Elsie O. Ellingson of Dayton, Ohio, and three grandchildren.
