Illness of Four Years Resulted in Death of West Avenue Resident
Joseph Henry Falk of 917 West avenue passed away at his home, following an illness of four years.
Mr. Falk was born in this city June 6, 1857, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Falk. He was graduated from the Utica Bussiness Institute. He was a carriage painter for some time and was later employed at the Winship Trunk Company. He married Amelia Hahn, November 5, 1883. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church of the Holy Name Society connected there with and of the St. Aloysius Society of which he was a trustee for a number of years. For some time Mr. Falk was a member of the local National guard unit under the direction of Captain Hemmer.
Besides his wife he leaves seven children: Mrs. George Seubert of Clayville, Frank J., Elizabeth A., Norbert M., Agnes O., Margaret A. and Genevieve Falk, all of this city; one sister, Mrs. Mary Schremp of Oneida; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
