Charles Martin Bell 1965 Bridgewater Bulletin

Charles Martin Bell passed away on Monday, March 29th, at this home after an illness of several months. Born at Dublin Shore 73 yeras ago, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (McNully) Bell. In his younger years he followed the sea, and after his marriage, he with his wife, moved to the United States where he was a service station proprietor at North Grafton, until his retirement. Three years ago they returned to West Dublin to retire.

He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Jodrey, of Petite Riviere; five brothers, Leo, Dublin Shore; Bernie, Pleasantville; Victor, Halifax; Ainslie and Carl, Allston, Mass.; five sisters, Julia (Mrs. Enos Wolfe); Mildred (Mrs. Arthur Haughn); Marguerite (Mrs. Sinclair Sperry), all of West Dublin; Jessie (Mrs. Walter Hall), of Malden, Mass.; and Grace (Mrs. Russell Innes), of Halifax. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin in 1946 and Percy five months ago.

Funeral service was held from St. John's Anglican Church at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday with Rev. A. Picher officiating. Hymns sung were "Now The Labourer's Task is O'er" and "The Sands of Time are Sinking." Interment was in St. Michael's Anglican Cemetery, Petite Riviere. Pall bearers were Webster Gray, Jeffrey Richard, Urban and Edward Bushen, Mervyn Corkum,and Charles Sponagle.
