Eugene Downs, son of the late David J. Downs, died yesterday morning at the residence of his mother, No. 119 East Main street, of consumption. Deceased has been in feeble health for some time, but his case was not considered critical until Saturday night. The announcement of his death was received with surprise by his many friends. The funeral will occur from the house at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the 26th instant.
