Paul R. Bunting

ZANESVILLE: Paul R. Bunting, 77, of Zanesville, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

He was born December 21, 1933 in Zanesville the son of the late Harold and Ruth Bryan Bunting. Paul retired in 1994 from Hupp - Stiverson Vault Company as plant manager after 40 years and worked at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home from 1995 - 2005 upon his retirement. He was a member of the Republican Club and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church for 65 years. He formerly served as a volunteer and Fire Chief of the Washington Township Fire Department, a Washington township trustee for 19 years, a member of Trustee & Clerks Association, Six County Solid Waste Board, and was concession manager & secretary of Muskingum County Fair Board for 36 years. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and Zanesville Blue Devils.

Paul is survived by his son: Kevin A. Bunting of Zanesville; and twin daughters: Pamela (Randy) Bishop of Zanesville and Paula (Wayne) Dailey of Dresden; step-grandchildren: Jeff (April) Dailey of Queen Creek, AZ and Eric Dailey of Hillsboro, OR; sister: Martha (Paul) Parsons of Huntington Beach, CA; and his black lab Lillie.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife: Marlene who died August 19, 1996.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave., where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 with Pastor Nathan Nordine officiating. Committal service will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
