Rhodey Odell Workman

Rhodey Odell Workman was born February 4, 1892, the son of Isham and Rosa B. Workman in Fayette County and departed this life on April 12, 1950, at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 8 days. On November 13, 1915, he was united marriage to Flossie Washburn. To this union were born four sons, one of whom died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 14, at 2 o'clock in Shelbyville in Lantz-Boettcher funeral home, with the Rev. A. E. Kretzer of Beecher City in charge. Rupie Scheer was soloist, singing "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross" with John Hawk at the organ. Interment was in Beecher City cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his going: his wife; three sons, Waverly C., Charles, of Findlay, and Raymond of Shelbyville; 3 granddaughters; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Carson, Henry Perry, Roy Marshall, Luther Hendricks, Jesse Gregg and Hobart Jones.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Kenneth Carson, Mrs. Henry Perry, Mrs. Roy Marshall, Mrs. Hobart Jones, Mrs. Oral Moyer, Mrs. Mildred Goldsboro, Mrs. H. O. Scribner, Mrs. Phyllis McElheney, Miss Madonna Springman, and Miss Iris Springman.
