"Tour Takes in 3 Linn County 'Ghost' Towns - Lafayette, Flemmingville & Alice"
......... Just another quarter mile up the road lived Edgar Notbohm, whose grandfather, Frederick, built the mill in 1875. ...... Edgar, 79, recalled for the group the better days of Lafayette, including the times gypsies camped out near the town and drained maple syrup from the trees. He remembered going to a store in Flemmingville where carpets were woven - mostly because he received some free candy.........
