James William Rock Sr, 41, died suddenly Friday afternoon, while fishing near here in the Nottaway River.
Rock was a partner of the Rock Motor Co, of Boykins, and a member of the Boykins Methodist Church. He also was a past commander of the Boykins-Branchville American Legion Post No 276, and a member the Branchville Ruritan Club. He was the husband of Mrs. Martha McKinnstry Rock; and a son of Claude Sr and Mrs. Mary Claud Rock.
He is survived by son, James Rock Jr.; brother, Claude Rock Jr; niece, Sarah Frances Rock.
Burial Sunday, in Beechwood Cemetery Boykins.
