Ella B. Roethel, 90, formerly of Rt. 1 Elkhart Lake, died Friday evening, Juyl (sic) 20, 1990 at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she has been a resident for the past two and a half years.
The former Ella Jung was born December 28, 1899 in the town of Rhine, daughter of the late Fred and Paulina (Weitzel) Jung.
She attended school at the former Harrison School in the town of Rhine.
On December 14, 1934 she married Arno Roethel in Waukegan, Ill. Arno died on April 18, 1989.
Survivors include, one daughter, Mrs. Delores (Kurt) Mueller, of rural Kiel; three grandchildren, Linda Quast, Sharon Hudson, and Larry Mueller; four great-grandchildren, Kelly and Tyler Quast and Ryan and Matthew Mueller; one sister, Mrs. Alice (Eugene) Breckheimer, of rural Kiel. She is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
The funeral service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Monday, at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs, Pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, officiating. Burial will be at the Schleswig Cemetery in Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 P.M. Monday until the time of service.
