Elda Oehldrich, 80, of Howards Grove, died Wednesday, June 19, 1997 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center shortly after admittance.

The former Elda Hecker was born Feb. 2, 1917 in Scott Center, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Amelia Hintz Hecker. She married Edwin Oehldrich on June 13, 1936 at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Plymouth. The couple recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Survivors include her husband; a brother-in-law, Harvey Oehldrich of Cleveland; four sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Henry) Wagner of Kiel, Norma (Harvey) Henschel of Cleveland, Helen (Walter) Gross of Sheboygan and Jeanette (Ralph) Koepke of Cascade. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held at Zimmer Funeral Chapel in Howards Grove with Dr. Steven Pederson, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church of Christ, officiating. Interment was in the town of Schleswig Cemetery.
