Obituary:
"Mrs. Koontz -- Funeral services for Mrs. Dollie Koontz, 93, who died Oct. 4 at the Pioneer Home, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lowry Funeral Home. Dr. Oliver Tanquary, Pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated and burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Koontz, who had been at the Pioneer Home for the past two years, was born May 18, 1880, at Goodrich, Kan., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hearn. She was married to Wade Koontz, April 6, 1904, at Goodrich, Kan. Then came to Montana in 1907 and ranched near Grey Cliff. In 1921, they moved to a ranch on the Boulder, just above the Natural Bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1954, an infant daughter, six brothers and two sisters. In 1969 she moved to Big Timber.
Survivors include a brother, Arthur Hearn, Sawyer Kan., and several nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers were Roy Webber, W. C. Bowman, Wright Ewan, Art Michels, Charles Fallang and Karl Bryan. Organist and soloist was Mrs. William Cremer Jr."
