Mack Wilson Loyd was a potter. Possibly worked in the Loyd Pottery in Alabama? Died from heart disease. Soon after marring Lucinda Marchbanks he entered the Confederate Army and during the period of the war attained the rank of Captain. He returned to Pine Springs where he farmed and operated a grist mill and other machinery on or near the Buttahatchee River.
After the death of his first wife "Lucinda Marchbanks" Mack Wilson Loyd married Nancy L. Isabelle Pitchford born 18 FEB 1853 in Sulligent, AL
