Maj. Wesley J. Hinkley, 36, of Carlisle, Pa., died April 4 in Baghdad, Iraq, as a result of a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 3rd Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, Fort Stewart, Ga. Capt. Hinkley was posthumously promoted to Major. Wesley died while serving in his second deployment to Iraq, during Operation New Dawn. He is survived by his wife, Melissa of Angleton, TX. and young son, Gregory. Wesley was a loving husband and father who lived a life of honor, courage, and integrity.
