Mellie Josephine Milam, daughter of the late Hart and Lucy Meals Milam, was born April 18, 1972, and died January 22, 1943, aged 70 years.

She was united in marriage to Isaac M. Fesmire in October 1890. To this union were born the following children: Cecil of Fairview, Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Center Ridge, J.L. Fesmire of Lexington and Mrs. Maxine Mount of Jackson. Mrs. Fesmire is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. E.L. Fesmire of Lexington, Mrs. Hubert Giles and Mrs. John Laws, Jackson; five brothers, Edgar Milam, Jackson, Elmer Milam, Lexington, Luther, James and Sam Milam, Luray. One sister, Anna, died at the age of four years; and two brothers, Dr. Hardy Milam and Henry Milam, died several years ago.

Rev. Daniel Bishop conducted the funeral service at Antioch Baptist Church.
