Mr. Ray Cooke Bodmer, 83, of Wheaton, died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at his residence.
He was the husband of the late June R. Bodmer.
Born on Nov. 16, 1921 in Beallsville, he was the son of the late Roy and Molly Cubitt Bodmer.
Mr. Bodmer worked for C&P Telephone/Bell Atlantic for 41 years. He was a member of the Masons Pentalpha Lodge 195 in Rockville, Telephone Pioneers of America and Washington Knights of the Round Table. He also served his country in the Army from 1942-1946.
Surviving are his children, Nancy Bodmer of Olney, Gary Bodmer of Derwood, Robert Bodmer of Rocky Ridge and Ronald Bodmer of Laurel; one brother, Howard Bodmer of Beallsville; one sister, Mary Ann Johnson of Fla.; and six grandchildren, Patrick, Christopher, Emily, Matthew, Adam and Craig.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Jan. 28 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, Md. (www.hiltonfh.com). The family will be greeting friends one hour prior at 11 a.m.
Internment will follow the funeral service in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
