Daniel Ray Felts was the son of Charles Cecil Felts and his 4th wife Joyce Edlin. Daniel died in a drowning accident at the age of 18.

Danny Felts, 18, a resident of Bardwell, Route 1, drowned in a farm pond near his home Thursday morning.

A student at Carlisle County High School, Felts was a member of the School's Pep Club and Chaplain of the Decca Club. He was a member of the Mississippi Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Joyce Edlin, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Cage, both of Cairo, Ill., his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Dale Webb, Bardwell, Route 1, two foster brothers, Tommy Webb and Louis Webb, of Bardwell, Route 1, three half sisters, Mrs. Joann Baines, Memphis, Mrs. Linda Rickett, Covington, Tenn., and Mrs. Gretchen Nemish, Mayfield, and a half-brother, Roger Dale Felts, Covington, Tenn.

Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday at Mississippi Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Friends may call at Isaacs Funeral Home in Arlington after 5 P.M. Saturday.
