Relatives and friends in this city have been advised of the death of George Wartnaby, at Kansas City, Mo., Wednesday. Mr. Wartnaby was 72 years of age. Death resulted from paralysis and heart trouble after an illness of several years. During the past two months he had been bedridden. Mr. Wartnaby was for many years a building contractor in this city and had retained his home residence here at 201 West Seventh street. In his early youth he came to Nebraska to reside on a homestead near Phillips.

Besides the bereaved widow, who will be unable to attend the funeral services here due to illness, he leaves three children, two having preceded him in death. The children include a son, Bailey, of Minneapolis, Minn., and two daughters, Mrs. Roy Brown, of 514 North Oak street, this city, and Mrs. Joe Miller, of Kansas City. It was at the home of Mrs. Miller that death occurred.

The body is expected to arrive here early Friday and funeral services will be conducted from the O'Loughlin-Livingston funeral parlors at 2 p.m. Friday. Mr. Wartnaby was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Burial is to take place at the Grand Island cemetery.
